WORSHIP
SCHEDULE OF SERVICES The schedule of worship services at Christ Church provides many opportunities for worship, not only on Sunday and holy days, but throughout the week.  Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 9:15 AM on Sunday.  On the first Sunday of each month, Morning Prayer as found in the Book of Common Prayer is conducted by lay leaders.  At 5:30 PM on Saturday before the first Sunday of each month, Holy Eucharist is celebrated. Holy Eucharist with healing is celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM in the Chapel. On the first and third Wednesday of each month (except summer), Evening Prayer is conducted by lay leaders in the Chapel at 5:00 PM.
ACOLYTES These young people support our worship of God through their handling of sacred vessels, leading of processions and other ceremonial roles in the liturgy.  Acolytes serve in rotating teams and rehearse regular and special liturgies as necessary.
ALTAR GUILD The Altar Guild gives loving care to all the furnishings used in worship:  linens, vestments, silver and flowers.  Its members are on three rotating teams, which set the altar before each service and clean up after services.  These individuals prepare for Easter and Christmas celebrations; prepare the building for weekday services, weddings and funerals; arrange flowers; care for sanctuary candles; and ensure that information about the Church is available in the pews.  The Altar Guild welcomes both men and women as members.
CHOIR The choir sings anthems, psalms and other liturgical music at church services to enhance congregational worship.  Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM and on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM.  New members are always welcome.
EVENING PRAYER LEADER This individual leads Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer on the first and third Wednesday of each month.  Services are held in the Chapel  at 5:00 PM.
LAY EUCHRISTIC MINISTRY Lay Eucharistic Ministers bring Communion to our sick and homebound on Sundays following the worship service.  They receive training and guidance from the Priest-in-Charge.
LAY READERS and
CHALICE ADMINISTRATORS
Lay Readers recite the Sunday lessons and/or the Prayers of the People as found in the Book of Common Prayer.  Chalice Administrators assist the priest in the distribution of the Host during Eucharist.  The Priest-in-Charge trains all individuals to assist in these areas.
LITURGICAL SCHEDULER The Liturgical Scheduler prepares the liturgical personnal schedule for Sunday services and Evening Prayer on a monthly basis.  This person manages our Lay Readers, Altar Guild teams, Lay Ministers, Acolytes and Ushers.  The schedule is published in The Tri-Parish Chronicles, the monthly newsletter of the Episcopal Tri-Parish Ministry.
USHERS Our ushers work in rotating teams to ring the bell before services, hand out bulletins, greet and lend assistance to parishioners and visitors, count attendees, collect the offering, and bring both the offering and the bread and wine to the altar.
